Hi Everyone!
There’s a camp coming up this March for our Sec segment. The name of the camp is iCamp. “I” for the following:
-identity in Christ
-I am a new creation 2 Cor 5:17
-I can do all things thru Christ who strengthens me Phil 4:13
So ‘I’ is not about me-mine-myself but rather, discovering our identity in Christ, and being transformed and empowered by Him. At the end of the camp, we want to believe that all our youths will encounter God, grow in their relationship with Him, and are ready to reach out to their world for Jesus! Fun & friendship building opportunities are definitely part of the package tooJ
Details of the camp are as follows:
Dates: 11-14 Mar
Venue: GB Campsite (Serangoon)
Cost: $60
Do note there will be a pre-camp for group leaders on 10 Mar at same venue. (Similar to adventure camp)
Details and sign up forms will also be released through mass publicity next week onward. The window period of sign up this year will be shorter. Hence, I’ll need your help to remind your members to sign up early.

We NEED camp group leaders. We’ll really appreciate if you can volunteer yourself or sound out your members who are interested to sign up for the camp too. PRAYER
hey guys, just wanted to say something out of my quiet time.
i know the kids aren't exactly the way we would wish them to be.
noisy, rowdy, inattentive.
but these are the things that we can't change.
there is nothing we can do to change that part of them, except to PRAY.
if you know me, you'll know that prayer isn't exactly my favourite thing to do.
i either drift off in my own thoughts or end up falling asleep, like at overnight prayer.
total disaster.
one reason why i'm not desperate to be at corporate prayer.
during my quiet time, i just felt God telling me that i have not been praying enough.
but i just wanted to encourage you guys that the first month of the year is nearly up, that we'd all start to pray specifically for the kids.
especially for their behaviour and attitude towards God because on He can convict their hearts and turn them to Him.
remember that when you pray, you're ruling with God.
so for things out of our control, we'd just pray about it.
i'm looking forward to seeing miraculous changes in the attitudes of our kids!

LEADERS' MEETING!
Dear leaders!
I know that we have yet to meet up to discuss about leaders' cell, I would like to suggest that we meet on every 2nd and 4th Sat from 1pm to 3pm before your cell. We can try that and evaluate a month later. We will be meeting on our own instead of combining it with Pst Peter cluster as it will be too huge.
With that, our first cell of the year shall be on the 10 Feb 08, 4th day of CNY at 12.30pm. I am inviting the rest of the leaders from the sec cluster to my house from 2pm onwards but for you guys, I would like you to come earlier so that we can have some time for our own cluster. I would like to serve all of you by cooking a simple lunch for you guys only... hahahaha the rest of the leaders will only have CNY goodies... So let me know if you can make it for lunch.
I will try to invite Leonard and his family, so that it can double up as a farewell lunch to him. We can think of some appreciation gestures to thank him for last year. Let me know if you have any idea yah...

1) Alight at Bishan MRT, go to bus interchange and board 410 (there are 2 route). ROUTE no 1 - You will see Ai Tong Pri Sch on your left, alight at the bus stop after the school. ROUTE no 2 - You will see Thomas Plaza on your left, pass the gas station, the bus will turn right, alight at the bus stop after the turn.
2) Take buses no 167, 165, 855, 980, 132, 163, 166... alight after Thomas Plaza & The Flame Condo and walk back towards the traffic light, into the HDB flats.
3) Take bus 162 (from orchard rd) & 52 (from Jurong) and alight after Thomas Plaza & gas station, the bus will turn right after the traffic light. Alight at the bus-stop and cross the road into the HDB flats.
4) If you are lost, call me and I will guide you form there...

CELL OUTREACH!
Dear all,
First of all, I apologize on behalf of the Sec Pastors for this late notice of the cell based outreach. We were really struggling with some of the planning especially since our segment is very big.
To coincide with YES on 16th of FEB, the youth division want each of the cells to plan their own outreach event before YES or on the day of YES itself.
The main goal is invite newcomers to mingle with the cell people in a non-threatening environment, share Christ or testimonies with them, pray and bless them during this outreach and also use this opportunity to invite them to YES.
The cell is free to plan their own event with a budget of $50 subsidized by church. If more amount is needed, the cell members will have to fork out the balance amount.
You can choose either to have a theme like CNY or Valentine's Day and suggested ideas are screening of movies at someone's house, playing sports games, bowling, food outings, CNY gatherings etc. Please discuss with your members and allow for ideas to flow.
If you so decide to combine with another cell, you may do so but try not to have too many cells doing this altogether.I know that some of you have already started engaging and challenging your cell to reach out.
I am truely blessed by the initatives taken by all of you. Our Sec 1s are definitely NOT TOO young to reach out to their friends. I know that for some of you who attended the Ignite Conference, you have been deeply inspired and would like to inspire your members too to reach out in their school...
Let's continue to fan the flame adn I believe God is going to do show us His Heart in this...
I will be meeting Rachel/Derrick/XueEn/Kristie/Florence tonight for a short briefing at 7.15pm at admin desk, if the rest of you are able, do come as well.

SWITCHFOOT CONCERT
Hi COOS Youth Leaders!
I have managed to get my hands on some special discount passes for the upcoming Switchfoot concert at MAX Pavilion on 31st Jan (Thurs).
I would like to offer these passes to you the COOS youth leaders!
The passes are $55.
They can be exchanged at the door for a wristband that will give you access to the free standing area in front (this is the $90 ticket if you buy thro Sistic!!).
If you would like to take up this offer just email me back to tell me how many passes you would like to purchase.
You can help friends and your youth to buy too!
Orders will be taken on a first come first served basis and i only have a limited number of passes so book early to avoid disappointment.
Orders must reach me before 10am on Saturday 26th Jan.

IGNITE! tomorrow!
Entry to Ignite Conference is by wearing of wristbands which you will collect from GLENN PAN tomorrow at SINGPOST level 12 at 6pm onwards.
You will be issued 3 different colours of wristbands. Each respective (e.g BLUE, RED, YELLOW) colour of wristbands need to be worn at the respective session in the 3 days. E.g. BLUE for Day 1, RED for Day 2, YELLOW for Day 3.
Instructions will be given tomorrow which day to wear which colour of wristband.
The organiser has asked for participants who are still students to come in their school uniforms for the SATURDAY conference. This will contribute to the theme of bringing Jesus to our schools and provide a great atmosphere to the event.
